+1 for some sort of lock washers, star or split, I would think the mufflers get a little too warm for blue loctite.

 

the studs are too short for double nuts. Picked up some star washers tonight. I'll put them on in the morning. Should do the trick.

 

There are what we used to call half nuts out there. They are about half the depth of ordinary nuts. You could double nut with those. You would have to order them from a hardware supply company. Also might be able to get them from ARP. They make the hardware that alot of pro drag racers use.
