Default Part # for front brake light lever plunger switch?

I did a search on this, but only found this link: https://www.hdforums.com/forum/frame-suspension-front-end-brakes/17250-replacing-front-brake-light-switch.html My buddy snapped the plunger switch off of his switch housing when he re-assembled the parts and pulled the lever. I need to order him a new one from Zanottis or Chi HD. Appreciate any help. It is an 07 Softail.

BluB, if you go to Zanotti's website on Monday,
click on the Live Chat button.

They will get the number for you quick.

I've used that feature quite a few times, they are quick and efficient.

Mr. Puddle,
I found this:
June 21, 2005

Front Brake Light Switch Installation Procedure

There has been an increase of warranty claims for the front brake light switch, part number
71590-96. Of the switches returned for warranty ~90% have the button/tip broken off, this
breakage can only happen when the person installing the right side controls back on the
vehicle is not following published procedures and cautions in our service literature.
This is not considered a warranty situation! Do not warranty the switch for a broken button/tip.

DO NOT REMOVE THE SWITCH WITHOUT PLACING A 5/32 INCH (4.0mm) CARDBOARD INSERT BETWEEN THE BREAK LEVER AND THE LEVER BRACKET. REMOVAL WITHOUT THE INSERT WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE RUBBER BOOT AND PLUNGER OF THE FRONT STOP LIGHT SWITCH.

This is the part I am looking for, isn't it?

May well be the correct part #.

I don't have info for the 07 SoftTails.

I'm sure it's the correct part number for the switch except it's been upgraded to 71590-96A. The only thing I'm not sure on is how late this part goes to. It was used on the 2000 models definitely and probably up to 2005 but later I'm not sure - sorry!
While on the subject, the stealerships here in the UK want to charge Ł21 (approx $40) plus sales tax for this part. I can get it shipped via eBay for a third of that price but does anyone know if it's used on any other vehicle or product as I bet the real cost is pennies?!!

My buddy picked one up and we installed it yesterday. It comes with enough wire to run all the way to the main, but I cut and soldered it under the switch housing rather than pulling the tank and messing with the wires running through the bars. Doable, but a PITA for sure. Got it done in an hour and works as new. Thanks for the info, all.
