Octane varies by region, some places 91, some places 93,

I agree with the other posts, no freaking way would I put cheap gas in my bike on purpose. Some things we can't control that may go wrong with our bikes. This is cheap insurance that we can control. I did put that cheap stuff in my bike one time, by mistake. I was paranoid until I gave her the good stuff!

I once heard that it had to do with the side of the mississippi you're on, Dont know if its true or not...

(93 east, 91 west)

This is great info. I'll be picking up my "Bob" Thursday or Friday and it's good to know I can't fool around with the gas recommendations. (Because at almost $4.00 a gal I probably would have!)

Sunoco premium is 94 around here I try to only use that, unless there not one close, I got some bad gas from a little mom and pop shop here, a lot of pinging, added a couple of shots of octane boost, cleared right up. BTW I now keep some octane boost with me at all times.

use lucas oil and 20 oz of lucas oil treatment per oil change! would blow your mind how much quiter the motor gets! hell just add in 20 oz of lucas oil treatment... Use a turkey baster to pull a bit of oil out first... you will be impressed, i promise

is that the Lucas synthetic oil stabilizer or the heavy duty oil stabilizer?
also is the synthetic used with regular oil or just synthetic oil...
