Question Tire pressure question??

What kind of air pressure are you running in the front and rear tire ? Manual says one thing, the tires are printed with another thing and the mechanic at hd says another thing. Both single riding and two up.

First what bike... I think most dynas except the fat bob are the same.

1up is like 30f 36rear
2up is like 30f 40rear

i run 30f and 38 rear 1 up as i am a heavier set guy.

These numbers are from memory, but looked only a few days ago, so i am about 90 percent sure this is what my manual says.

what the tire says is always what you should do... depends on what tires you have...

If you want to get precise. Then you want an approximate 15% temperature rise from cold tire pressure to hot.
That would mean about 6 lb increase in tire pressure from cold to hot. starting at 36 lbs cold. Keep in mind this will change from bike to bike and solo to two up riding.
This is ideal for traction and tire wear/life

30 in front and 40 in rear for 2-up. 3/32" left on rear tire after 11,000 miles. This is the pressure listed in the manuel. Seems to be working good.

+2 also for instance my metzelers say 40 on the front and 42 on the rear...If you go to their website and look up tire pressures they recommend another 4-6 lbs for 2up riding on the rear and 2lb in the front even though it is not on the sidewall.
