Revolution, I have no ideas to how to make it work at if that is all you care about you can stop reading here.
Please don't take this the wrong way but this has got to be one of the silliest questions I have seen on this site. Have you ever rode with a bike that has drum brakes? My 78 XLCH has drums in the rear that work ok on a good day. I definitely would not convert my front to drums, and would never think of putting drum brakes on my Street Bob. Why not just run without a brake in the front? The bars will be cleaner, and you'll have almost as much stopping power.
Not too sure this is any help but I was watching American Thunder yesterday and one of the feature products was this new slick drum brake set up. Looked really cool. I have no idea who the manufacturer or vendor was. Maybe if you do some Googling you could find out.
WDR,
Had already thought of running no front brake, however would like to be able to sit at stop sign or light on hill. As far as why.... well Leaf Spring front end... I believe they were paired with a drum brake originally..
would look original and if you have no front brake as is, would be an improvement... i am not a big fan of drums have a few bikes with them, my old honda's, look at the old aftermarket parts for shovel heads... should be able to find one... my buddy has one in all chrome on his bike... pretty cool but as he says, "stops for CRAP" personally i think that the rotor looks better even with the Kiwi... i am pumped to see how it is done... if at all possible can you ahve them take some pics as they progress through the process of doing your bike? (or can you do a whole write up if you are doing it) i REALLY want to find a Girter that woudl work on my bob and the set up would be alot alike... i would love the pics to help me out... here is my buddys Front wheel
Yes I know its way $$$ but then again guys spending 3K for wheels probably don't care. Anytime you try to customize your gonna spend some money. It all comes down to how bad do you want to do it.
