I wound up going with the 12' midget gimps. I like them alot. I got them powdercoated black. However, like others have mentioned, they're only slightly higher than the stock mini apes.

Looks like, from your sigpic, they're about the same width as your trees....I've got the same concern you did...don't want them too wide at the base.

They're definitley not too wide or too narrow. The base is only about a 1/4" on each side narrower than the top tree.

Also, check out forum member Dubblist album. He has a pic in there with a front view of the bars which will give you a better view on how the bars size up.

Maybe i missed it but did you go with the midget gimps with the 9.5 base or did you go with reg gimps with 10.5 base?
