08 street bob wont idle
Just turned 1000 miles and now this happens. starts and runs fine until I shut it off and try to restart it (even after over an hour) then I need to give it some throttle to get it running and then it wont idle, it just stalls if I let off the throtttle. and the engine light pops on but will go off if I twist the throttle a bit to get the idle up. and I have oil dripping out of my air cleaner. I know this has been an ongoing issue with Harleys but I thought they licked this problem on the 96 inch motors. Any thoughts.

usually when you have too much engine oil, it will drip out of his air cleaner.
it happen to a friend. he had put too much oil after his oil change...after taking
some oil out this stop.( oil leak )hope this will help.

my sporty used to do this also. turned out it was running pretty lean and was getting too hot. sometimes i would have to let it sit for 3-4 hrs before it would run right again. might also be a fuel delivery problem (possibly electrical)
