starter motor
i have been told that after removing your starter motor and you can turn the shaft from your starter motor very easily boyh ways then you need a new clutch assembley would you agree with that. thanks
My Dyna shop manual gives a good discussion and breakdown but does not mention your exact question. However when I replaced mine a few years ago, it was the idler gear (fiber) that was toast. Had my shop rebuild it for a fraction of the cost of a new assembly.
Hope this helps.
