I am thinking about buying one. I want to know how nice the chrome is and if they have any issues? I know you have to purchase the heat shields separately. Do the sections not covered by the shields blue really bad? If someone has a pic of a chrome one on a 06-08 dyna that would be awesome. I searched the 2 in 1 thread from a while back but most of the pics are from before the forum was fixed and don't show up. Any help would be appreciated
!
I just (a week ago) put a TH on my 09 Fat Bob. The chrome is OK - maybe 8.5 out of 10. No pics, but will be doing some soon.
No bluing yet between the heat shields, but I have burnt my boot a couple of times on the exposed section. You guys all know how much fun that is to clean off. I don't know why they built the dyna heat shields the way they did, with that exposed part right there ready to melt you if you run forward controls.
Love the sound. Also did the stage 1 AC and SERT, but just a break-in map on the bike. Will dyno her in at around 800-1k miles and then she'll scream. The bike is already pulling harder (seat of pants) though I just hit 500 miles so I've been trying to take it easy to this point.

I have a Thunderheader on my 2004 LR. Its da bomb, its loud and delivers increased performance. I have no issues with the chrome, it does give of plenty heat for the passanger.
