Hey guys, I have been putting a list of winter mods for my bike. What do you guys think?
Powdercoated sliders
new front russ wernimont duster fender.
All tins repainted or powdercoated gloss black (no hd emblems or pin stripe)
Powdercoated 3 degree trees.
Black rear fender strut (possibly from 09 bob)
black progressive shocks
Sounds like a plan. I would paint the tins. From what I have heard, paint is better for body parts like the tins and powdercoat is better for the other parts of the bike.
List looks good brother.. But like was said I first PCed my tins for the chop I built cause I wanted flat black and that time flat black was just getting real hot we are talking late 05 - 06 anyway I tried with the rear fender and it just did not for one look right.. I would use the PC on tins again only for flat black cause its cheap if I was doing a old bobber that I didnt really care to much about lines and how it looks and all that.
But on my expensive chop i was building it was not working for one you metal better be straight as hell and have no blemish cause PC doesnt cover that like body work and paint also it does hold up to rocks and chips better. For gloss black your gonna want paint bro PC just not have that glass look when cleared. And if you need some touch up work in the future for whatever reason you will have to just PC the whole tin again you know..

Hey the 09 Bob's don't have fender strut covers, just take yours off and they will look the same.
