My Bob's ECM has gone bad. The 5 volt feed that powers the throttle pos. sensor and map sensor doesn't work. Ordered a new ECM from Zanottis, great price by the way at $291.00.
The bigger of the problem is that my SERT is not going to work on the new ECM. So here's the question. I don't know were but it seems I heard somewhere that if that happens you can send the bad ECM and matched SERT to HD and they will exchange a SERT for a fee. Am I just wishing or has anyone heard this?? I have been waiting on a return phone call from my dealer for 2 days now. I have called 3 times for the "expert" but can't get him on the phone. I guess they can't figure out who the "expert" is. Thanks ahead guys.
Depending on who did your SERT calibration, the download from the disk should be able to be downloaded to the new ECM. The Stealerships don't know that much about the SERT and programming it to max performance and or gains.
Even w/out a SERT box, the SERT program can still be downloaded to the ECM. This is how mine was done, saving me much cash by my Indy shop.
Find a good Indy w/ a mechanic who knows the system and can Dyno.
