Wouldn't cost you much other than time and some touch up paint.
Thought about that but it still wouldn't hug the tire as it's not the right shape.

I pulled mine off and I love the way it looks, plus it's the cheapest way.

I'm looking at removing my fender on the Fat Bob. Are there any negatives, other than mud, to removing it? If it gets too much of a pain in the *** I can always put it back on.

I drilled new holes in mine and lowered it about 3/8". Slightly longer bolts make the install easier. You right about the shape not matching the tire though.

If I run through a puddle I get a few splashes in the face but no biggie if you do not ride in the rain remove it you will love it. Plus like you said if it gets to be a pain, throw it back on. It's worth a try, it's free.

I pulled the bracket off my fender and modded a fat bob fender to work... them rivited it all together... much wider, hugs the tire more, and in my opion looks much better.

Joe, you got any close ups of that gloss engine paint. Looks great, I'd like to see a few more pics.

ill have to take some tonight... ill post them up... my motor is not gloss, it is still wrinkle black... but the heads, push rod tubes and bases, as well as some other odds and ends are all done in tiger coatings high gloss black powder coat... this winter my motor will all be high gloss black, i will do the primary, side cases, and tranny... just want to ride for now and this winter I will tear it all down again
