I'm trying to install a pair of Kuryakyn ISO grips(#6205) on my 07 FXDWG and am having a problem with the throttle grip binding and not returning when released. It seems as if the inner rubber, recessed edge on the ISO grip where it meets the switch housing is rubbing. I was thinking of using a razor knife and removing this small rubber lip on the inner edge of the grip where it meets the housing. Anyone else have this problem?
I did and it was my cables and not the grip. I lubed the hell out of the cables and took lose the zip ties and reset everything back up until it no longer got in a bind.
heres one for you... did you pull the grip and assembly back 1/8" from the end of the bars.... That will fix you up!
but the end of the grip to the handlebar then pull away the 1/8 an inch.

Thats exaxctly what was binding mine. I had to move the whole switch assembly back just slightly and it worked fine.

That solved the problem in short order! Moved everything about 3/16" and no more binding. Great, thanks!
