Kuryakyn throttle grip just installed but find the clearances a little sloppy on the bar at the cable attachments. The other end seems much tighter with very little play. Anybody else notice this extra play compared to the stock unit? Just wondering if it's common or need to get another one. Ron
I never noticed anyexcessive slopon any of their grips I have installed. Your saying that the throttle sleeve is looseinside the switch housing ? and it moves in and out towards you and away from the bars ? If so, I have never see that and think it would be very annoying.
On this one it's a sloppy fit on the handlebar to what seems like about 1/16" play. The hole in the grip appears to be tapered with a good fit on the outer part but loose at the switch housing. Sounds like it's defective. Yes it is annouying, plus the throttle lock screw needs what seems to be many revolutions to lock it as it needs to take up all this play from it's free setting. I'll call Kury and see what gives. Ron
That's because Kuryakyn is cheap plastic crap. Buy something else.
Get serious. If HD had the samequality for this price, I'd buy it. Like the original is made from titanium? Sounds like I just got a sloppy one, you know like my 07 trans. Ron

On a lot of the parts you are absolutely right rbabos......I think the biggest complaint that I came across with Kuryakyn was their curved license plate holder, but that was it. But whether someone likes their stuff or not, I have to say that they have one of the best Customer Service Dept., that I've seen. Actually Kuryakyn makes a number of Harley accessories, including some of the grips and some of the chrome switch housings.
