One adder to the above. I checked the pickup out a little more yesterday and the pickup is very close to the back of the tank. However, I'm thinking that some of the fuel in the right side of the tank may have trouble getting to the left side when the level is low??
I ordered mine from Jackyl friday. But won't see it on the bike until this winter. I have the pcIII on, and my fuel mileage went up to 45 mpg riding double from 30-35 solo.
Hey - I don't know if this might help - but the new Kury Informer fuel guage is programable to read empty when you decide to calibrate it. So I guess you could, with a tank lift, run it to around a gallon left and then calibrate it to read empty. Just a thought............
Just received my Jackyl 2" Tank lift and fitted it straight away.
Easy installation. With the stock Fat Bob Drag Bars you just have to adjust the turn signals out as far as they will go on the original stems and I took the grip asemblies up a touch just to be sure the turn signals wont hit the tank. The standard crossover is a tight fit with the lift so I'll replace that to be safe. Looks good. I'll add my 2 cents worth about fuel indication when I've done some miles with it.
Real Happy with the look. Particualarly from the seat. You can actually see the speedo without looking down.
