To get the Road King look you would have to use a FL Softail front end. It is not bolt on but can be done. The Dyna floorboards I understand will work but once again not 100% bolt on. Couldn't tell you about GSXR parts on it though.

Not mine but shows it can be done.

I don't know about the front end, but I'm pretty sure that lolife has boards on his bob, might want to pm him about it. I know someone else has a writeup for putting boards on as well. I know the search is messed up right now but might try it out and see if you can spot it.

There's a set of floorboards on ebay right now. Here's the link.

As ackman1968 states you'll have to go with a FLST (Softail) front end ... a Road King front end will not work due to differences in front end geometry.

I followed suit after Ken Ridout (the guy whose website shows the front end conversion) and installed an FLST front end on my '05 Super Glide.

I got deployed before I had a chance to put on a wheel and fender. Will be finishing the project presently. I am planning to finish the job with a nacelle (headlight housing).

A couple of photos show the options. The nacelle pictured is a aftermarket (Rick Doss) version of P/N 67907-96B – Zanotti H-D (www.zanottimotor.com) $336.00.

You'll need to either replace the fender with a Heritage/DeLuxe style fender (pictured) or a Fat Boy style fender. Or you could use a pre-'06 Wide Glide (or narrow glide with spacers) fender.

Another option to the '04 and earlier FXDP style floorboards is to use FLST floorboards. I could send you details or also check out forum member CStolp (Chris Stolp) ... he manufactured an adapter and did a pretty good post.

The easiest and cheapest option is to go with the floorboards that replace your pegs. They can be gotten from J & P Cycles among other sources.

Can't help with the GSXR front end concept ... Best of luck

Keeg has a set of FXDP boards on his '07 Street Bob and did a post on how-to do the 'work around.' Take a look at his signature photo and if you can find his post using the search function, it'll show how he adapted the Police boards on his bike.

I test rode a Dyna Police bike with the floorboards just to try them out ... I was sorely tempted to go that route when I figured out how to adapt Softail boards.

I've attached an old photo of my bike with boards, but before changing out the front end ... you can see what my floorboards look like (I've used the old-style half moon boards).

You know Harley could make this much easier if they would just build us an FLDC. I have the front end and my intention is to install it this winter. I was also going to do the Softail boards but I need to go one thing at a time. Right now it is getting the GTO sold so I can but more parts. I did notice that the tubes are about an inch shorter than the ones on my 06 but I wanted to lower it a little anyway.

Forumite keeg has put the FXDP boards on his Dyna....the kit is now obsolete and no longer sold by HD....occasionally a complete kit can be had on eBay, and he can probably give you the individual parts #'s if you want to piecemeal it together.

Other kits have been used off JPCycles, Stanger has done it with his...just might take some extra work.
