Need a good comfy seat for me and the wife....have an 06fxdli ..... would not mind a bit more height as the mids are cramped, do not want to move ahead any, and want something with great comfort for driver and the passenger for sure....
thought of sundowner or mustang wide ......need help ASAP please...thanks!!!
I have a sundowner on my 08 FXDC. It raised me up just a bit, and the wife loves the rear, compared to the stock seat. I have not sat on Mustang so I can't compare the two, but I can vouch for the sundowner. Its comfy for both.
I have the HD touring seat. Went with it over the Sundowner because it was a bit narrower for the rider. It did add a little height but no forward movement. It is comfy for me on long distance and the wife likes it much better than the stocker.
I just put a Corbin Dual Tour with the backrest on my FXDL. Has made a world of difference. It lifted my ride in the saddle higher but not forward, it does make the mids more comfortable for me. Even though they tell you it takes about 4K miles to break in the seat, mine was more comfortable right away. The rear seat is wider so my wife's rear is more comfortable, too. The backrest has made for a more comfortable ride especially on the highway. The Corbin will set you back a few $$ BUT IMO, well worth the money. ( I haven't updated my sig pic yet so it doesn;t show the new seat)
