Well I'm very new to this site and pretty new to harley's. Rode a few harley's and now decided to get my own. I have been on this site to see if anybody has made any modifications to their new wide glides and I see none. So I figured I'd chime in and tell a little about mine, coming in May.
I ordered the billit drag stlye bars with 4" risers and with all the cables to go with them...clutch, brake, etc. I also got the SE pipes which are slash cut, upgraded to the better spoke rims,, these are the ones without the groove(brake dust trap) in them. I hate brake dust on any rim. I also never really liked the bobbed tail rear fender as much as i do the wrap around low rider rear fender so I replaced the bobbed tail with the wrap around and this will fit nicely with the wide tire kit that I also ordered. They weren't sure if the wide tire would fit under the wrap fender but thank God it does. I have waited a long time for Harley to step it up to compete with the newer styling of the choppers yet maintain the harley heritage and with this new wide glide, longer that ever, they sure the hell did. Let me know if anyone else has done anything to their 06 wide glide. Glad to be apart of the family!!!!! THE WAIT IS KILLING ME!!!
