Hey all,
This might sound silly but I always assumed that for factory alarms, "sirens" was built in. The service rep (I just dropped off for the first service) told me that it was $100 bucks for the siren and $80 labor to install it. So, now my question is, how difficult is it to install the sirens with/out pagers? I really don’t want someone to do the work for me.
I was pissed that I had to pay extra for the "alarm" that only flashes, especially since I removed the turn signals anyway. Same for the warranty that I have never used. I hate dealerships. I guess if you are still running the blinkers, the siren is a good investment. I see gap insurance and the prospect of a new bike if mine is stolen as a better one though!
