I was in NYC last week and noticed a lot of bikers wearing their helmets backwards. Didn't know if this was a new trend or had some aerodynamic merit. I did try it and the only thing I noticed was that my helmet did not rise up when riding.

Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? Thoughts??? Opinions???

 

They do it a lot in Mexico...saw it a lot this past summer in Cancun. They all wear the same model of polo style half helmet though, and I think they spin em backwards because the polo front catches too much air.
