I though it was about time to drop a post in the forum after a few months away. Why the brake you ask? Well, for starters, work through this summer was crazy busy; life was crazy busy; I had to choose what to do with my downtime. I choose riding not dicking around on the computer (especially while this site was _not_ working well).
I'm almost 6000 miles into this riding season, this fiscal year done with work, my oldest daughter moved out and settled in Denver, and I will likely start lurking back around the forums.
Some things I've learned from this summer riding:
1. I still love the upper Mississippi River valley roads
2. Getting totally lost on SW Wisconsin county roads is amazing fun
3. A Screamin' Eagle Dunlop gt502 rear tire can last over 5000 miles. (mines getting thin though I have almost 6000 miles and mostly 2-up riding).
4. My wife likes 100+ mph
5. My bike likes 100+ mph
6. A good dyno-tune is worth every damn penny spent
7. If I could do my hot-rod build all over again, I spend the money
8. 100+ HP is awesome (though I'm already working on some upgrades to get me to 115+)
That's all for know. Plan on seeing me lurking around again. Hope all has been well.
