Anybody have this build? I just ordered one for my 03 Wideglide and wandered what those who have done it think. I'm not new to the forums,I have an o4 ultra that has the 113" HQ build and love it. But now it's time to start on the Wideglide. I eventually plan on doing the 120" if this doesn't satisfy the power hunger ( Probably not!) . I will already have the cams and heads after doing the 95" anyway. Cams are the 0033 .
Thanks,
Tarheelrdr

tarheel, I had the HQ95 package before I went to the HQ 121.
The machine ran like a cat with its tail on fire.
I was using the HQ TC600 cams though,
and 11:1 pistons.
The 121 build, cat with a fireCracker in its asz.
A forkin guided missile.
Mudpuddle, those are some mighty good #'s. I knew some would ask why don't just go 120" now, well , I love working on the bike as much as riding, maybe more. So if I do the 120" now, I won't have anything to look forward to next. It's an addiction! I do all the work myself and again is as much fun as riding, plus I get to learn more aout the V-Twin. I had never been in any engine before, not even a lawn mower, but with the help of the forums, I dove in on my Ultra and did the HQ build . Tilley HD in Statesville,NC did the bottom end work-boring cases & crankwork . I then had the HD parts., but later found this forum and learned about HQ. Thats when I went back in and changed to all HQ parts. Waiting on a HPI 51mm throttle body as we speak for the Ultra.
Tarheelrdr.
I have the HQ 95 sport/touring kit and it runs very well, Im using the .575 cams and it has the power int all the right places!
After talking with Doug a couple of times it seems like he kinda likes the .575 cams over the 0033s (for the low and mid power) but if you are doing 11.1 motor it will be fine I guess.

I know what you mean about tearing into these machines tarheel.
Great satisfaction to build it yourownself.
I looked up that 0033 cam you ordered,
I see it is the same as my TC600.
Not sure why they have different part #s.
Mud, I think the difference in the cams are that in 06 HD changed the cam chain on the Dyna's. So the gears on the cams are made different for the appropriate year models. That way HQ will make sure someone doesn't get the wrong parts for their bike. Same # on the cams , just for different year models. Not absolutley sure about this but thats my story and I'm sticking to it-LOL
