Default lower a 2006 dyna superglide

I want to lower my 2006 Dyna Superglide. What options do I have ? Can I just get different shocks, get a lowering kit, or do I need to get both ? Can anyone post a pic of their lowered bike for me ? I am six foot tall and with my new sundowner seat I have to stand on my tiptoes.

Thanks for any help or advice,
John

For the rear you can get shorter shocks or lowering blocks but I recommend the shocks. Progressives are what most of the guys are using. 11" length in either the 412's or for the more expensive 440's. For the front you can do new springs or go the cheap route like me and slide the fork tubes up. You can see mine in my sig pic.

I tried the lowering kit and it was okay but I wanted it lower so I used 12" Progressive 440s then a month or two later lowered the front end an inch with progressive front springs. The Progressive suspension is expensive but it makes an amazing difference. I'm 6' and love the lowered ride.

cheap way to do this is a tarmack lowering block kit for the rear, and drop the tubes into the trees in the front...
you can also do the progressive rear shocks and springs in front for more $$$$
or you can do a mix... i went with lower air shocks in back and dropped the forks into my trees 1 in... love it!

Thanks for all the help. I have gotten invaluable advice on this forum. I have gotten new pipes, air cleaner, pc111 and map, installed mini apes, and now trying to figure the best way to lower my bike. I could not have made the decisions I have made without you guys taking the time to help me out. I really appreciate it.

Thanks,
John
