On Aug 1 I had to lay my bike down to avoid a retread tire that blew on a 6 wheeler fuel truck in front to me and threw it up in the air at my bike. Took the less painful route and laid the bike down to avoid it. Knocked the tip off my left ring finger (which doesn't help being a guitar player) otherwise scratched and bent up the left side of my 2007 FXD. Anyway they sewed the tip back on the finger which I guess will eventually work out, but I'm excited to be gettin the bike back today in time for some fall riding in Md, De and Pa. Always wondered what would happen ridin along side or behind large trucks using questionable retreads on the highway, you always see this stuff along side the road, now I know.

My advise, give em plenty of room

Well, first off I'm glad to hear you're okay! It must be the year for FXD's to go down. I put mine down on the 2nd of August. I'm still waiting on mine though. The tank is the last thing they are waiting for. I've missed some great IN riding weather but I prefer the cooler temps so I think I'll still have some time to ride WHEN I ever get 'er back!
