ditto...

right thumb and forefinger blip'in the throttle as I down shift, the other fingers on my right hand are feathering the front brake (foot on rear brake as well)... downshifting to 2nd. Depending on traffic then, I'll hold the clutch from 2nd to a dead stop, selecting 1st at the last point before I put my foot down.

I downshift all the time. Nothing worse than pulling in the clutch, coming to a stop at a light and forgetting you are still in 5th/6th!!!

"I downshift to be in the right gear as I brake." Yep. Short & sweet. Holding the clutch in and braking down is the same as coasting to a stop in a car in neutral.

That's it to a "T" for me. I try not to pop into 1st on a decel roll; it feels a little harsh.

I use the brake just enough to activate the light.

Same here, and keep it in gear at the light until traffic behind me is completely stopped.

I down shift, but I tap my brake handle rapidly while I am slowing down so my light flashes
