Okay, one more. The AC setup you have - I didn't see that in the catalog and ordered the "football" setup for my Stage 1. Is that aftermarket?
I cut the ring out of the center of football cover of a StreetBob (yes, it reads StreetBob not Fat Bob) - WS6 style. The FatBob A/C ring is smaller in diameter then that of the front side of the K&N filter - did that make sense?
Okay, so you cut the ring out and just didnt use the cover. Interesting. I have a K&N filter with this one, so will check it out when the parts come in - thanks.
Looks Awesome. Thanks for the pics. I ordered my Black Denim Fatbob 3 weeks ago and delivery date is 10/31. It has been a long wait. I am glad to see your pics though because that is what I have ordered to go on mine and now I know what it will look like. I did order the V&H Staggered Big Shots Black to go on them. They just started selling them in Black for the Big Shots because I was going to get them ceramic coated so I am glad they sell them in black now. But it looks Awesome. Great job!
Ok, just to clarify. You have an 08 FatBob, and the black flush mount gas cap/gauge you used was the one for the Softail? And it fit fine, and the wiring harness plugged in without any modifications?

Correct. The break down part numbers for the fuel gauge and the electrical connect are the same (for all 4 versions/applications of the kit)
it works! I just installed the 09 Dyna version on my 08 fat bob, no problems whatsoever. The Part # is 75327-09. Everything is the same, and the clip for the wires is the same. Took maybe half an hour to install. I highly recommend this to anyone on the fence!

Pictures man - we need pictures!
I'm not sure why anyone would think the 09 version wouldn't fit - as far as I know, that changed nothing, and definitely not the tank

I read somewhere that they changed the fuel gauge sender on the 09, which is why the 09 gauge wouldn't work with the 08.
This is in the description of the 09 on the HD website: "fuel gauge with low fuel warning light and countdown feature". The 08's don't have a countdown feature, so there must be something different about it. But heck, if it connects and works like Anubis said, then I guess it's all good!
