Sorry to hear about the wreck and injuries. Get well soon and then get that bike fixed.

Get better and get back in the wind.

Update on first page. I am going to take my buddy's bike out today for a quick 500 yard ride. If I don't I should never have been riding anyway.

Sorry to hear, hope things work out for you.

That's a good example of why I'm always extra cautious when going past a road with a stop sign while riding with someone else. If they are in front of me, I always make sure the car waiting to turn is still sitting there and knows I'm also coming. I think a lot of times people hear a bike, see one go by, and don't pay attention that there's another one coming.

I've had a few cases where after my dad has passed them by, they nudge up a couple feet, so I always slow down slightly and move to the inside of the lane just in case they pull out.

Thanks for the post, it certainly helps keep us all aware.

There but for the grace of your God go all of us. Mend well friend.

When a rider goes down, I think that we are obligated to find out the details, and learn and share what we can about how it happened and what we can do to reduce the risk of it happening to ourselves and others.

So thank you for sharing the detail and thank you shockwave for the added insight.

How many times every day do I, dispite better judgement rely on the cages to do what I think they are going to? TOO OFTEN.

Thank you.

evil cetane, I'm glad you're here to tell about it. Look at this as an opportunity to do more mods to your bike.

Good point. Expect other drivers to do something stupid and you'll rarely be disappointed.
