Thumbs up clutch adjustment ?

Over the weekend I did my own 5k service and all went well I just have 1 quick question for all of you experienced fellas out there. Before doing the adjustment on the clutch my friction zone was about mid travel on the hand control. Now after doing the adjustment by the book the friction zone does not engage until the lever is almost all the way out. Is this normal or did I somehow fubar it? The only gray area I saw was that the instructions state to screw the clutch adjuster screw in until lightly seated. I turned the screw only in far enough to feel a slight drag on it. If you guys have any tips or if this is normal please let me know. If this is normal is there any way to adjust the friction zone a little farther in? Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Yeah that is almost exactly how the manual says to do it minus the part where he loosened the clutch screw. Guess I just need to know now if I can adjust it in. Thanks for that link
