I wouldnt think so. My sissy bar mount is between my fender and strut, so removing the cover wouldnt make a difference. The new Bobs dont have strut covers anyway. Hope that helps.
And it wouldnt hurt for the detachable or the easy brackets. Unless the actually strut is at an angle where the hardware would mount, then it would throw the allignment out of wack. I have not looked under the strut cover, but i wouldnt think it would be at an angle...
all will mount the same...
one thing though ... with the covers off more of the sissy bar sideplate will be exposed under the strut because the covers are wider than the actual strut...this of course is for permanent mount side plates.
be warned!!! with the hogrida laydown plate and exposed struts you bike will begin to look excessively cool!!!!
nope you can pull them off run your docking hardware right back in to the struts.. no issues... ran mine without for about a week before i finally got around to powdering them
