I picked up a new sissy bar off of eBay that comes with the quick connects which I've never had before seen as I was always a solo. My question is how hard should I have to push down for those quick connects to lock in. something seems very off as far as the width of the sissy bar itself and how the quick connects mount on the bike. This is for my 09 rk thanks
I am interested in a sissy bar for my 2012 FXDC but don't understand how installation would go for mounting one. Anywhere with some helpful information on how to mount? What I have to remove? How I get to the parts to remove? Blinkers, supports, strut covers, wiring, shocks, etc??? I would like to get a rigid mount sissy bar but I am not wanting to buy a lift if needed or do any wire splicing and I am just not sure how much trouble it is to mount one. How do you remove the strut covers? My clearance is tight under the rear fender. Does the rigid mount Cobra sissy bars go under the rear strut covers? I know a lot of people get the QD backrest setup but if you remove it, what does it look like without a backrest? And I think that from what I understand the QD setup is even harder to install all the brackets and such. I probably sound dumb but I am! How much would Harley or some shop charge me to mount it?
