Not sure if its the same as mine but my 2004 had three nuts. One is for the turn signals. They have their own stud which is not viewable from the outside of the fender. Hope that helps

okay what is required for removal of the blinker? where is the connector, it seems as though this is a huge job but there has to be an easier way. I have to get the sissy bar mounts off and I also have chrome covers for the struts I want to install, so I have to be able to pull the blinker completely off? it feels like the wiring runs long the fender and that I would almost have to take the rear wheel off to get to the connectors? this would be a big pain in the *** if I wanted to go back o te cushy seat and sissy bar for longer rides.

please help me!!!

If i am not mistaken, you can unplug the blinkers within the brakelight housing..remove cover to brakelt and should see blinker connections...

okay I took off the blinker cover and you cannot disconect it there, BUT there is enough wire to cut it and splice it back together, or use VERY small connectors to allow for the wire to slide back into the chrome blinker stalk. I am thinking abut just cutting and splicing it, what do you guys think?

It should loop around the support brackets. Never cut the wires!
