Default Sponge Bob

I changed out my stock shocks to 11 inch progressive's. All is well when hitting dips an bumps in a straight line, but in corners the rear wants to bounce. Do I need to hardened the rear, or loosen? Hope I explained OK, any help would be O-tay l.ray

Depends is it a spongy bounce like in the title of your thread, or is it a hard bounce like the suspension is bucking instead of absorbing. If it is a hard buck then loosen if it is spongy then tighten....Hope this helps.

You might want to check into some different pants. I heard Squarepants kinda give you that spongy feeling.

I bet you need to stiffen the preload.

I have 11" Progressives on mine also, on softest setting (I weigh 160lbs) and don't have that problem cornering. I don't ride 2-up.

Take your shock wrench with you ,pick your road, ride on the lightest preload, maintaining the same speed ride it again, adjust to the next higher setting.Keep doing this until you find the setting you like best. This is the best way and well worth the time spent.
