jmpancoast, I asked you about your forks before, and have a different question, is there a difference on the width of the forks from stock? I like the stock width, but have heard that the LR TT sets the forks with a wider stance. It doesn't look like that in your photo.
Thanks, Mike
They are the exact same distance apart as the Street Bob and Super Glide trees. Only diffence is 1.5 degrees more rake.
I have done this 3 times to fxr and fxd if yours has the lower screw on the tree on the side, drill the light houseing where the treads are and run a short bolt from the inside and bolt down tight to the lower tree.Cost about 1 dollar. and 30 minutes time.
Well nice to meet you and congrats on being only 1 of very many. If you like it, more power to you, you don't have to take it personally that most of the rest of us don't. It wasn't meant personally. Nice wife, I mean bike, by the way.
Nope - didn't take it personally - just letting you know I was among the rare few that like it.
I relocated my turn signals with the hd kit. they stick out from the lower tree and look lout of place. they mount to the pinch bolt of the lower tree. I was thinking that i would move them to the upper tree. closer to the handle bars and with the gas tank behind they would blend in better. it appears that the detachable windshield will still fit. has anyone done this? pic? anyone know why i shouldn't?
J&P has a kit that puts the signals right up next to the trees. Looks great and is only like 25-30 bucks. I have mine mounted on the 41mm clamps that come stock on a night train. The clamps look good too. I think you would need Kury. ones for 49mm though like 2007 FXDC has.
Just beware of the JP Cycle ones. The chrome is pretty flimsy and is likely to flake off.
Ya get what ya pay for, so I wasn't all that pissed when it happened to my set.
