The 07's don't have a problems with the stators, the 06's had a problem, but it was fixed on the 07 and later models, the stator is welded on the 07's and newer models, not rivited like on previous years.
I am pretty sure that your problem is with the voltage regulator, harley had a bad run on voltage regulators, mine went on my 07 a couple months after delivery, it was replaced under warranty, no problems the last 2 years.

Got home this evening. Tested the battery while running. Showed that it wasn't charging. It is still under warranty. Will drop it off the afternoon to the stealer..I mean dealer.. Let him deal with it. Hope (pray) that it is done before weekend. Have plans

Friday was a good day.. Dealer replaced the stator under warranty.. It was burned on one coil. Glad it was an easy fix.... They said that they have problems with the stator. I would think that if they knew of problems wouldn't the moco fix the problems.
