Default Custom Air filter done...

Finally painted my homemade air filter... (mudpuddle-style)...

Was chrome, but painted it flat black instead...

hey bosken, whatd' ya use to cut it? been thinkin of doin something like that w/ mine.

There is a nice guide that Mudpuddle made in the "under 50 bucks section".

I used a Dremel to cut out the center plate. Than a angle grinder to finish it up.

Oh, man, that is COOL. I love the open-element look, and NICE WORK on the cover in all regards, the cutting, painting, everything. I think I'll give this a try. Looks really good!

That looks great in flat black. Fits yor bike perfectly.

Does that setup hit your knee? The only set I know that does not stick out and hit my knee is the Heavy Breather. I'd like to go with this style setup but only if I CAN'T FEEL IT when my feet are on the Highway pegs.

I'm 5'9" and my knee still rubs with forwards, not sure about hwy pegs

That;s why I think I am gonna go with the Heavy Breather...it's the only Setup that I cannot feel AT ALL when on the bike.
