Has anyone out there removed their security system? If so how hard was it?

I'm thinking about taking mine out because it gives me more hassle than I think it's worth. Battery dies on the fob, forget how to unlock the bike with the turn signals.. in the rain..

it's integrated into the turn signal module and you'll likely have to replace the entire module to do away with the security system.

 

I think Glide is right-on. I believe you will have to replace the TSSM with a TSM. They cost about $120.00 over the counter or about $90.00 through Zanottis or Chicago HD. The TSM does not have to be mated to the ECM so installation is just a simple plug in. You may find someone on here who will trade with you.

 

wow.. I figured I could just pull it out... especially since they sell the units that plug in aftermarket..

Anyone know of a way to disable it?

Just a thought...

You could see if someone wanted to swap with you. Your security module for a plain one.
