It is more about leaving the stoplight a little quicker than others (more torque) It is kind of an addiction I have never left any of my toys stock Im a gear head and I cant help it besides its my pocketbook, and Im just doing my part to help stimulate the economy!!...nothing wrong w/ stock trim, I just want more!

We need to stimulate the economy. There is nothing wrong with stock, its just a preference I have I rode a Sporty needed to get up in performance on the Low and the sound is amazing from these mods.

I like a little more motivation capability to over what comes out stock from the air-cooled HD's. Would love to get my hands on an XR1200 for the power available (great lean angle too) on a stock air-cooled HD.

Some people will just never understand! Oh, and when performance is goin through a gear heads mind, money isn't what your thinkin about, and achieving this performance is medication for our illness!
After spending well over $50K than stopped counting on upgrading my FXR, I am of the experienced opinion that I would much rather ride a modified bike than a stock one. I believe that a person who would not is either: Has not had the opportunity to ride a modified bike, correctly done or just does not have the money to ever modify their own bike. The only thing I have left Harley is the inner primary, and I am not kidding. Last years bike before more extensive modifications. Ya, I spent $2,100 on a set of shocks and they were worth every dime.

In a round about way that is exactly what I was trying to say..."If you have to ask why, you wouldn't understand!"

One thing wrong with stock.....especially on a really cool looking HD, is sitting at a light with that really awesome potato-potato-potato from just the right pipes......is getting WAXED by the mini-van next to ya' when the light turns green. Happened to me on a properly running Heritage softail a while back.
