Lets agree that some people want better performance and some are quite happy with stock. No one person is right or wrong. I wish I had the money to build mine but with a 3.5mth old in the house, I only get to look at my bike right now.

why stop at 103? Why not 110 or 127?

That is a very solid question! All in good time...Right now it boils down to using MOCO parts and labor...that is what I must do for the time being...down the road , I will probably go Indy...and...and...and...who knows what will happen?

I thought briefly about going 110", but I did not want to have the cases bored out--thus weakening them. A better probability of not grenading the engine down the line perhaps.

better than headquarters ... at 1/2 the price. wow. ??? ... with a 103 you should pop the 100 mark.

I thought the engine would beat 100 ft lbs, but as some others around here predicticted as my bike was being modded.... the 260 cams are too high duration and lift (on the 103") for low end torque production. But it does touch that 100 lb mark for a good bit in the last half of the RPM range.

Just wondering, not questioning your decision.....but with the money stuck into custom porting and the other things, wouldn't it be cheaper to go with the 103 stage 4 and far excede you HP and torque goals?

Centerline and I was discussing the 103ci over the 110ci I found out from dealership that the SE 103ci is better than the 110ci. Unless you are all talking other than SE.

So, I don't have the D&D Fat Cats. I have the VH Big Radius 2 into 1 how does that compare to the Fat Cats?

My heads have made it back from Maine, and the build is almost complete, just in time for a projected Winter storm…I won’t have any numbers on the build until I put some miles on the bike and have it tuned…I will post the results at that time…come on Spring, or 35-40 degrees (either way, I'm ready to ride my bike)! Later...

I just did a build on mine last month. Oil pump broke in 6 pieces. It was still under Warranty. I now have a 103" with all the goodies I wanted. It has 655 Lift 270 duration S&S gear driven cam's With SE pushrods, Fueling Cam plate with Lifters & oil pump. Also polished & ported the heads. I now have lotsa torque all the way thru the power band. Next week we will do a dyno tune see what the # are.
