I was looking to see if the Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather was available for my 06 Super Glide. I see that it is and here's the list of what it fits...
Fits street legal on model year '08 Dyna® and Softail® models (OE throttle body). Race use applications fits '99-'07 Dyna®, Softail® and Touring models. Does not fit models equipped with fairing lower glove boxes.
Why is it street legal on 08 models and only for race use on 07 and previous models? What's the difference that makes it street legal on the new models? I really don't care whether it's street legal or not, but just wondering what the difference is.
I have a heavy breather on my Fat Bob with mid controls. Also have highway pegs. When I move my feet up on the forward pegs, the heavy breather interferes with my right knee. Don't know if forward controls would do the same thing with knee interference.
I have a picture in my album with me sitting on the bike and I have forwards and it doesn't interfere at all. The wimmer intake is a great intake also but it came down to the elbow being polished compared to the SE being chrome. But thats just me.
