What is the advantage of going with the inverted forks? Is there a performance added value to doing this?......I hope!

To get this to work requires many things like how to center the rotors, make a proper axle, make it to fit a hub (we use HD wheels which are much harder) others are using a set of trees off of a metric bike (complete front end) and solving the problem that way until the bike starts moving than the steering stem offset comes into play. The forks in these photos bear no resemblance to Stortz or Ultima. This technology is what you see winning on the track today. The correlation of a superior front end on a Harley and that of a race bike, the problem and approach is the same. The end results are different. In both applications a race bike needs to keep the tires against the pavement for traction. The more traction you have throughout the race, the more you can win. In a Harley application, keeping wheels on the pavement translates to a smoother ride, increased safety, and better handling. What does a well suspended Harley feel like? The smoothest Harley you have ever ridden as well as a bike that is sure footed under any condition. There is no relationship between a stock Harley and one with superior suspension.

YES there is, big time! One should be mindful of both rake and trail. A inverted fork should be a straight up (vertical) as possible. )22 degrees ~ 32 degrees but 22*~28* is better w/4" +/- 0.1" of trail. This is due to stiction.

The more the forks are raked out the more friction is exerted on the lower slider bushings. The less friction, the easier the forks move up and down, the more the tire contacts on the road (simplified ~ not including turning issues).

These forks are very stiff and having the advantages/ability to tune the spring preload, compression (14 clicks), and rebound (13 clicks) and also have the ability to change these values (shim packs, pistons, and spring rates) and tune them to the riders application, bike, and riders style is also great. A performance difference? Oh' ya! Smooth, even better for the azz.

I love the front end on the SE, and one ride around town proved it was a machine on an entirely different level than any other one with the word "Dyna" in the nomenclature.

Yes he is...I was just trying to be funny about the sig line saying Dyna Street Glide which by my guess was a mistake. I guess it wasn't too funny!
