I assume people automatically think drag bars have to be straight across the top triple tree and that's why they must think it hurts.

This isn't the case as you can have different length risers, pullbacks or straights.

Look at my SIG pic to see that the bars are in a natural position for me, making them comfortable for me...don't care if they are comfortable for anyone else since it's my bike!

I love my set up with Duece risers and drags and I also liked the original mini apes too.

I can't believe the stupid comments and how upset people get if someone doesn't like something they do!

I've tried several diferent types and finally settled on something I like...not a cheap thing to do but sometimes necessary.

I will admitt aswell, that with my 16 in. apes it was just as easy to ride my bike hard as it was with my shorter dragbars.

different strokes for different folks...I went from the stock mini apes to the pullbacks that came stock from the superglide custom...had drag bars on a sportster a few years back. I went back to my mini apes....I love the control in the corners I have with them...the bike handles MUCH better with the minis on than the others. I don't feel like a parachute either but maybe that is because they are MINI apes. Anyway....laugh all you want but I'm enjoying the hell out of my bike again with them on.

The weak point on these bikes is ground clearance. I can just as easily scrape my primary in a corner with apes as well as drags.
I agree with this statement 100%, I too suggest that anyone that states that apes are less comfortable and have less handling...have obviously NEVER ridden a bike with them.

Maybe if I ditch the rubber mounts, it will feel more solid. The bars move almost an inch forward and back with the rubbers on the mounts.

Any sugestions... do they make polyurethane bushings instead of rubber, or something of that nature?

Drags....I really love the look of the riding position of apes and it really took a lot of searching for me to decide on drags and their functionality, but apes still "look" cool.
