Default Front end bounce

Ive noticed when driving down the interstate the front end seems to bounce, it happens around 60+mph. Is this normal? is there anything I can do about it? btw its a 08 FXDC

thanks

I've been quite disappointed in the front end performance of my Dyna thus far. After Christmas I'm going to change the front springs to Progressives and add Screamin' Eagle fork oil, I've done tons of research on here and most seem to be very happy with this upgrade.

Front wheel out of balance? Too much air pressure in the front tire?

I don't notice any front end bounce when riding at 60+ mph on my '09 SB...it's smooth and stable.

My '02 WG is solid as a rock, at any speed, on the interstate. I don't think the front end bouncing around would be normal. I'd check the tire for proper air pressure, check the wheel balance, check the tire for cupping or other unusual wear pattern...

check tire balance. If it comes in automatically at a given speed on a smooth road , that is most likely your problem.

Mine did that this summer. A quick check and I found I had thrown the wheel weight. I thought a rock had hit my boot, but now I know. Balanced it and all was fine.

steering head bolt/bearing, front tire to rear tire allignment, but more likely a front wheel in bad need of balance.

I've had my 2007 FXDC up to 100mph on the NJ Turnpike. I have 12,500 miles on the bike and the front wheel stays planted on the road just fine at any speed. As the others said, check the tire balance and tire pressure. "Bouncing" is not normal.

Few years back I put cheap 11in shocks on the back that rode like a brick. At high speed the front end would hobby horse. Went to the 12in harley billet shocks and it quit.
Did you make any changes?

No changes made to the suspension. Thinking of going with a stiffer fork springs.
