I think I have all the tools I need. I have a pretty full garage and my neibor is a auto-deisel mechanic. just trying to get all my ducks in a row. I looked at the power commander web site but there are only a few maps and none that are set for the big sucker and v&h short shots. are there more maps on the cd that comes with the pcIII. sorry if thats a dumb question the cd is in the garage and I havnt loaded it in the computer yet

Don't focus on "big sucker". It's a hi-flo a/c. It's comparing apples to apples. Comprende?

comprende sc-longhair. I realize that the pcIII comes with the eliminators for the 02 sensors but I plug the holes in the pipe I do not reinstall the sensor correct?

That would be correct. You can get the plugs at your local auto parts store. m18 x 1.25

Looking at the maps available, I think I would go with M814-003.

Possible others are M814-004 and M814-005.

Plug the USB cord into the PClll and leave it plugged in with the end of it sticking into the ECM box so you can make changes without removing it again. Use dielectric grease on all the connections. Helps keep water from infiltrating. Also want to calibrate the throttle settings. There are many maps posted on the fuel injection section on this forum.
