Ok, since you asked, I have to be the only jerk of the thread thus far and say.... that color is ugly. I think the pipe wrap is a strange choice of color as well. I honestly think you took a really nice motorcycle and yucked it up. But, you asked.
Hey thanks for the input. Any response, positive or negative, is welcome.
That being said, I like it. And I know thats what matters. This is a project bike. Its a work in progress. I'll keep changing it as I see fit. I'm doing all the work myself and get a great deal of satisfaction from it. I'm trying out a bunch of ideas, some of which I got from this forum, and having fun in the process. I still have the original tins, exhaust shields, bars, etc. But I dont think they are going back on anytime soon. As far as the pipe wrap, I left it natural for now. I might eventually paint it black as well as powdercoating some of the chrome parts..I like the direction my bike is taking, enjoy working on it and get mostly positive feedback. The color by the way is a green primer with a low gloss clear on top. I might chop the fender some more, if I can find a good spot for the rear sigs and plate.
Cheers Dan
Looks cool! Reminds me of an old military bike. What kind of tire do you have on the front? Tell me what you think of the fork brace.
Shawn
hey thanks. front tire is a conti milestone 110/90/19. I like it alot. fork brace is unbelievable. I didnt think it would make this much of a differance. Highly recomended.
Dan
yeah I see the alloy art stuff is pricey and I'm sure the shock lights are as well. I know you have both, how bright are they? Are they good by themselves or would I also need a taillight?
I'm told that hey are bright, but not enough to run without a taillight. I run the Kuryackyn Panacea which also has built in turn-signals, so I have a series of signals running up the side of the bike when activated.
You could always run a sidemount plate with a taillight, using the Alloy Art or Shock Lights for your sigs.
love that flat green and the natural pipe wrap really sets it off. i'm not a fan of pull back style bars but other than that your bike looks frickin' awesome!
I keep coming back to this thread to look at the pics and the more I look at it the more I dig it! I love the wheel and tire combo especialy the front, looks tough. The color, the bars, wheels it all kind of works together and your sure as hell not going to see another Lowrider like this one...
