I am helping the neighbor install a set of drag bars on his 08 superglide. The problem is the spedo mount and the riser are all the same peice. I need a mount that will hold the spedo, still have the light indicator and mount onto the new fat drag bars. I have searched the web and have came up empty handed. I spoke to my local dealership and they had nothing good to say. i know it can be done i just need your expet help in were to look. he does NOT want the spedo to go on the tank it must be bar mounted.
thanks guys
There's no simple cure or fix for this. I ran into it several times with Superglide owners going to T bars. About the only easy solution is to purchase this mount: http://www.denniskirk.com/1/1/116005...bar-gm101.html
Then get the older style superglide speedo mount that isn't integrated into the top clamp and bolt onto the above mentioned clamp. The older style superglide mounting bracket just bolted onto the top clamp and wasn't integrated.
Hope this helps!!
Carilini has some nice looking Speedo cups that mount to T-Bars as well. The only problem with them is you will have to find another way of doing the idiot lights.
Along with the accutronix already talked about, you can check out Yankee Engineuity and see if they have anything that will work for your set-up.
Once again you guys have not failed me. thanks very much for the great advise, i was able to find on on ebay (my friend also) for 8 bucks and with the other clamp i should be in business.
again thanks
