Damn, my posts aren't going through...
I think with what he's used to 400FWHP will not satisfy him.
I drove my bosses stock C5Z and the thing felt like a slug to me. Disgusting...
Do what makes you happy, though I don't think I'd be getting rid of the bike. I barely drove the vette when it was nice in favor of the sporty...

One suggestion is check E-bay to see what people's "buy it now" prices are on the same bike. A buddy of mine wants a used rice rocket but didn't know if he was being offered a good deal. We checked on e-bay for the model (Yamaha R1) and he found out the price being asked for that bike was in line and on the LOW end so he felt much better about the purchase.
Remember in todays economy NOTHING is going to maintain it's value. The quicker and cheaper you sell it the better chances are it'll sell. You're going to be going against dealerships now ... especially during the winter when they aren't moving anything ... at least up north.
