Top, does your bike have the upgraded dust-boots and maybe that's why the Brace wouldn't go on? Just thinking out loud. I hope I don't have any problem installing it after the previous frustrations and the "high" of finding it at such a bargain price. I'll post a follow up in a week or so, when it arrives.
I installed the the Kuryakyn one on mine (HD actually sold them under thier own label a while back). Almost exact same dimensions and they, also, stated won't fit with chrome sliders or upgraded dust covers. As you can see, those statements were false, being careful and using a little thought to make em fit.

Stiffened up the slop in my WideGlide front end and helped reduce the twisting feeling in the forks while braking with the single brake caliper setup

Default s.e. fork brace

wow! i can't believe you got one for 15.oo. if it does'nt come through go to ebay . there is a listing with a starting bid of $100. actually it's the listing that has the same picture on your thread so you must be aware of that ebay listing. i won the bid on friday but it says they have four available. i have a 07 wideglide and the bike handles great but for $100 the extra support and mental confidence it gives me is worth it!

Was no problem at all... Except w/ the new dust caps, needed 1 washer between clamp and cross brace at each bolt to keep cross brace off fender. If you look real close at picture, you can see the washers. Used chrome ones so they didn't show too much.
