Default Oil Pressure Gauge

To those of you who have mounted an oil pressure gauge:

What is your pressure at idle?

What is your pressure at @ 1500-2000 rpm?

Just installed one today and was curious as to what I should be seeing.

My bike is a 2004 WG BTW.

Thanks!

Got an 04 FXDWGI w/ 17k miles on it. Just finished installing high quality 270 degree sweep oil pressure and oil temp gauges and a Jag oil cooler. On initial cold start, oil pressure was 38-40 psi at idle and went just above 48 at 2000 RPM. After motor warmed up, oil temp out of engine returning to oil tank was 210 deg and pressure is 24-26 psi at idle and going to 42-44 psi at 2000 rpm. Oil is Mobil 1 V-Twin 20w50. Quite happy with results. Also installed waterproof fans on cooler to come on automatically at 200 degrees discharge from cooler. Too cold out to see temp from cooler that high yet.

Yeah, real happy with the way it came out. Lots of planning and ordering just the right parts, like the carbon fiber gauge cups, handlebar mounts clamps and a couple of trial and errors. Put the temp gauge sensor on the rubber oil return line to the transmission (behind the cover at rear of engine) and getting the fittings and sensor in that little space was a real treat, then needed to notch the cover just right for the cable. The braided oil pressure line is actually a 12" 3AN teflon / braided brake line. Then covered all the wiring with 400 degree Mylar chrome braid and clear shrink tubing. Next will be an AutoMeter DSS tube shift light w/ digital tach built in and have the shift light flash on at or near red line. Just need to figure out where to mount. I like info / gauges, but not many mounting options without a fairing. Here's a pic of the WG before the chrome lowers went on. Did a tank lift also, but could only go 1.75 inches due to the swingback bars. Real pain in the *** to get the console back on that close to bars, but looks good.
