On my brother's '06 SG, we mounted 4.5" pullback risers. Any more would require us to lengthen the wires and cables probably.
We had to remove the small plastic cover from the back of the speedo housing and grind the mounting area for that small cover away to fit the risers. Otherwise, it wouldn't let the clamp tighten far enough to hold the bars.
It works, but he wants the Lowrider bars because they are straighter across. We will order them on Monday and then we should be in business.

Be carefull when working around the bar/tank area. I chipped his brand new tank...with only 20 miles on the bike! I had it covered with a towel, but it slid off just when the front brake line bracket smacked the tank![/i]

I "borrowed" these two pics from other members. The bars are very close, if not exactly, what I'm trying to do. Just got to figure out what length, ,height, etc.....
I pretty much know nothing about it. I just know what look and feel I want. I've got pretty short arms, so I don't want to be stretching out too far. I need to be able to make an hour trip and feel comfortable. But, I do want these type of bars.
Maybe these pics will help you guys help me! Now that you can see what I'm shooting for! What steps will it take to get her there?
