Advice please
Tell the guy who stood you up that you'll listen, but the closer his number is to zero the better. Also, tell him no setup or prep charges. If he doesn't beat the other price by say 20%, go with what you already have. These guys are dying for business - so if the guy doesn't call you back, that makes no sense. Harley sales reps either make straight hourly pay ($9 per hour), or straight commission. I'd bet the guy who didn't call you back is getting his $9/hour ($18,800/year) and could care less as working hard doesn't increase his pay.
Update
The dealer I originally bought my sporty from did come through. They beat the previous offer by 25% with forward controls included. I think I got a hell of a deal. I won't take delivery until February but the papers are signed. Now you guys will have to deal with all my newb Dyna questions (insert sarcasm) like which exhaust is cool and what fuel controller to use. I look forward to learning a bunch of stuff from you guys (truth be told, I already have). So thanks for all the advice.
